The CB5 Casambi Bluetooth + RF 5CH Constant Voltage LED Controller is a compact, feature-rich driver interface designed for professional LED strip and linear lighting projects. With 5 independent constant voltage channels at up to 3 A each, the CB5 can support a wide range of single colour, tuneable white (CCT), RGB, RGBW and RGB+CCT low voltage LED strips on 12–24 VDC systems. It is ideal for commercial, architectural and residential installations where wireless control, flexible configuration and robust protection are essential.

Flexible 5-channel output for multiple strip types

The CB5 offers a 5 × 3 A constant voltage output, delivering up to 5 × (36–72) W across the 12–24 VDC range. Each channel can be mapped to different Casambi profiles, allowing one controller to be configured as a single channel dimmer, dual or triple single-colour dimmers, CCT controller, RGB, RGBW or full RGB+CCT driver depending on the project requirements. This gives designers excellent freedom to reuse the same hardware across many different luminaires and strip layouts.

Casambi Bluetooth mesh + RF control

The CB5 integrates seamlessly into the Casambi Bluetooth mesh ecosystem, using a combination of Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz RF for reliable wireless communication. Once added to a Casambi network, it supports on/off control, smooth dimming, colour and colour temperature adjustment, scene creation, grouping, minimum and maximum brightness limits, power-on behaviour and multiple power-down memory options. A 4096-step (12-bit) logarithmic dimming curve combined with a 2000 Hz PWM frequency ensures flicker-free performance suitable for high-end architectural and hospitality environments.

Built-in dynamic modes and remote options

For colour applications, the CB5 includes 10 built-in dynamic effects such as jumps and fades for RGB, RGBW and RGB+CCT strip types. These can be triggered via compatible RF remote controls or via the Casambi APP. The controller can be matched with single-zone or multi-zone RF remotes using the same light type, making it easy to provide both app-based and handheld control within one installation.

Robust construction, protection and safety compliance

Electrical design includes protection against reverse polarity, overheat and short circuit, supporting long-term reliability in demanding installations. The compact housing measures just 120 mm × 43 mm × 35 mm and weighs approximately 0.073 kg, simplifying integration into junction boxes, coves and cabinetry. Rated for operation from −20 °C to +55 °C with a maximum case temperature of 85 °C, the CB5 is suitable for a broad range of indoor applications. Compliance with EN IEC 55015, EN IEC 61547, EN 61347-1/-2 and ETSI EN 300 series standards, together with CE and RoHS approvals, ensures the controller meets current EMC and safety requirements.
