This PCB is engineered to support up to 12 LEDs with an approximate forward voltage of 36V. It’s perfect for high-power applications, providing you with the intensity and brightness required for demanding projects.
Innovative Solderless Connectivity
Ease of use is at the forefront of this MCPCB design. With solderless connectivity, the installation and configuration process becomes effortless, saving you time and enhancing the reliability of your LED setup.
Customizable LED Quantity and Wavelengths
Flexibility is key, and our MCPCB delivers just that. You can configure it for various quantities of LEDs and wavelengths, with a capacity of up to 12 pieces per board. Additionally, it offers 2 channels of 6 LEDs each, allowing for an array of creative and functional lighting solutions.
Features
The board is available in two configurations: a 12 LED series configuration, or a 2 channel, 6 LEDs per channel version. Below is a guide on how to operate both configurations.
In terms of electrical specifications, for 12 LED operation, UV/violet/mixed wavelength and blue/royal blue LEDs have a nominal voltage of 3.0 volts per LED. This means that the maximum voltage is 36 volts (12 x 3.0V). The drive current depends on the LED choice and the forward voltage of the LED. As an example, a typical drive current of 700mA multiplied by 36V gives a maximum power of 25.2 watts. For this configuration, connector ‘A1’ is used as positive and connector ‘C2’ is used as negative.
For red, deep red, infrared, far red, and amber LEDs, the nominal voltage is 2.4 volts per LED, with a maximum voltage of 28.8 volts (12 x 2.4V). The drive current for this configuration is 1 amp, which results in a maximum power of 28.8 watts. The connectors used for this configuration are ‘A1’ as positive and ‘C1’ as negative.
In the 6 LED operation, the total voltage and power will be the same but divided by the channels (2). For this configuration, ‘A1’ is used as positive and ‘C1’ as negative.
It is important to check the LED specifications before assembling or running the board. Cree PCT is useful for Cree LEDS . The drive current is limited by the manufacturer’s rated LED drive characteristics and your ability to dissipate the heat generated by that specification.
The board comes complete with the Molex series of low-profile solderless connectors. These connectors are very low profile and are designed to fit under the Florentina Optic, which allows for the boards to be daisy-chained. The LED pitch is consistent across joins when daisy-chained.
If required, double-sided thermal adhesive tape is available for the board, here
