Power:
The Sol-Strip-BR-NIC can operate through a range of drive levels and this will dictate the degree of thermal load and heatsink requirements. Below 50 watts the board will function without sinking.

For many customers a key constraint to the use of tuneable spectrums is the seemingly complex topology, often using multiple drivers for multiple channels. There are no free rides, if you want tuning in your grow it does require some design. The use of the Illumi Bluetooth MESH(BLE) controller simplifies this process. Instead of multiple drivers, this device allows the use of a single led driver and splits out that driver up to 4 channels per BLE device. In the schematic here we are using only 3 channels of the 4 and are driving 2 white channels, 2000k and 5000k for wide spectral blend from seedlings right through to flower, and then have a third channel for 660nm or 660/730 blend or even 400nm UVA. The design is a 600 watt system running 60 watts per board(total for all 3 channels) and uses a parallel design for the 2 white channels and a series/parallel configuration for the exotic channels due to the voltage differential on the BLE controller.. Profile:
The boards fully loaded are only 6.70mm high, add a 1mm alum plate as a basic thermal bed and we are at less than 8mm. this off course does not account for driver placement on a 1mm alum plate so if you’re not remote mounting that will affect your profile, however the intent with the low profile is to make it perfect for height restricted grows like small tents or tray systems for microgreens etc.
Spectral Control 3 Channels:
The boards can be configured with any range of led’s in the 3030 footprint (channels 1 and 2), so typically 2700K to 7000k in any ratio required within the constraints of 2 channels of 3030 footprint. The 3rd channel is the Cree XQE foot print and can be Deep Red, Royal Blue, PC Blue or any colour within the Cree XQE/A footprint as well as the new Cree XD16 Power led. The size of the PCB and quantity of led’s also provides for SRM (Spectral ratio mix) so that we could offer the 3rd channel with 1:2 or 1:4 mix of red/deep red/royal blue
Usable Size:
The Sol-Strip-BR 560mm x 24mm is a good balance of light spread for many applications, perfect for a 2×2 or 4×4 grow area, deep canopy penetration as both a horizontal or vertical light source, also a perfect retrofit product for lights that promised a lot but may have lacked the reliability needed for a hard-core grow facility.
