The LED Engine Driver Calculator

is a powerful tool designed to assist users in finding suitable LED drivers based on their specific requirements. By entering the forward voltage, drive current, and quantity of LED boards, the calculator evaluates the total voltage and searches through a comprehensive database of LED drivers. It then filters and displays a list of matching LED drivers, taking into account their voltage and current specifications as well as power capacity. The results are presented in an organised table, displaying essential information such as manufacturer, part number, input voltage range, output voltage range, current, and watts. There is also a direct datasheet link to the manufacturers site so the data can be confirmed.

This streamlined process enables users to quickly and accurately identify the most appropriate LED drivers for their project, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

The current version uses series configuration as its calculation method

Dimming

Please note to see the driver dimming options, cursor over the part number to reveal the tooltip which will show the dimming options for the selected driver.

Options

  • No Dim: The driver is not a dimmable model
  • On Driver: This will normally be built in Potentiometer
  • Analog: The driver can be controlled via resistive pot or 0-10v
  • PWM: The driver can be controlled via a square wave or digital control
  • ELV : Mains or primary side dimming, normally phase control
  • Triac: Mains control via a triac dimming control

Note some drivers can have multiple dimming control. Please consult the datasheets to confirm the specifics related to the use of dimming on the led driver.
