This 2-pin connector is designed for use with White 10mm wide LED strips for connecting around a 90-degree corner. The internal width of the connector is 10mm and designed for the LED strip to slide in and the connector to lock down on the 4 pins.

This makes a solderless connection with the strip and connector, allowing the power to pass through to the next connector and strip. No modification is required for non-waterproof strips, however silicone coated strips require the silicone be removed.

Here’s how to use a 90-degree connector for LED ribbon joining:

1. Determine the type and size of your LED strip: Check the LED strip specifications to ensure you purchase the correct connector for your strip. Common LED strip sizes are 8mm (for 3528 and 2835) and 10mm (for 5050).

2. Power off the LED strip: Ensure that the LED strip is not connected to any power source before you begin the installation process.

3. Cut the LED strip if necessary: If you need to cut your LED strip to size, make sure to cut it only at the designated cutting points, which are usually marked by a dashed line or scissor icon.

4. Open the connector: Gently open the 90-degree connector by lifting the plastic tab or sliding the cover open, depending on the design.

5. Insert the LED strip: Align the LED strip’s copper pads (the “+” and “-” marks) with the connector’s metal pins, and slide the strip into the connector’s slot. Make sure the strip is fully inserted and the copper pads are in full contact with the metal pins.

6. Close the connector: Press down the plastic tab or slide the cover closed to secure the LED strip in place. The connector should now hold the strip firmly.
