Description

The Cutter-32Round3030 round Aluminium PCB is 32 mm. It is designed to take 18 leds and is designed for, Cree J series 303, Nichia 757 leds or other 3030 footprint leds. This PCB was designed for omni-directional applications, such as bollards

24Vdc nominal operation. The leds are laid in a 9×2 configuration(9 in series, 2 in parallel), 3-5 watt operation

Optionally the board can be ordered as a 2 channel Red and Green to be used in safety bollard applications

Thermal Transfer:

Direct Thermal Path : Dielectric under the thermal pad of LED

The Cutter-32Round3030 module requires attention to mounting and cooling to ensure that the junction temperature of the LED is kept well below the maximum rating as specified in the LED documentation published by Led Manufacturers

For optimal cooling, we recommend that the module be mounted to a suitable finned heat sink (aluminium or copper) that is exposed to open air. The module can be mounted to a heat sink in various ways

• Thermal Compound: Requires the use of mechanical fasteners

Before fastening the module to the heat sink, ensure that the two mating surfaces are perfectly flat and clean in order to maximise heat transfer to the the sink.

The bottom of the LED MCPCB is electrically neutral, so it is not necessary to electrically isolate the base from the cooling surface.

Please note the use of Thermal Adhesives makes the PCB unlikely to be removed for servicing. Please consider this if removal of the board is desired as another TIM may be a better choice. 

Termination:

The PCB has an centre Anode and Cathode pad so wire can be soldered to top pads, and drawn through a centre hole. The board is laid to couple with the Aether omnidirectional optic
